Josh Moulin has over two decades of expertise in cybersecurity and digital forensics. Launching his career in law enforcement, he pioneered the region’s inaugural high-tech crime unit. His accomplishments include designing state-of-the-art digital forensics labs and mobile forensic lab and securing the prestigious ASCLD/LAB accreditation, a distinction held by no other non-federal law enforcement lab in the U.S. at the time. As the commander of a cyber crimes task force for seven years, Josh has delved into hundreds of cyber investigations, conducted over 1000 forensic examinations, and has been recognized as an expert witness in both state and federal courts. His credentials including being deputized by the FBI and US Marshals office, a Master’s Degree in Information Security and Assurance, and multiple certifications coupled with global teaching stints.

Beyond law enforcement, Josh has made significant contributions to the US nuclear weapons complex, establishing both classified and unclassified incident response and forensics programs. His leadership roles span serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and ultimately the Chief Information Officer of a federal national security agency. Furthermore, as an Executive Partner at Gartner, he provided strategic counsel to federal and military leaders. As the Senior Vice President of Operations at a global nonprofit, Josh’s collaboration with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) includes the management of two pivotal Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs), fortifying cybersecurity for US state, local, tribal, and territorial organizations, as well as safeguarding the elections community.
